
Some Rules
Private, Public or Home School Stephens County 5th – 12th Grade Student
Projects are to be registered online prior to February 10 to be eligible for participation t-shirt.
Projects do not have to be qualified by participating in a prior school science fairs to be entered.
Group projects are discouraged, but will be accepted.
A project number will be assigned and posted on this website. You should verify that the project information is correct.
Project check in is 3:00 - 5:30 pm, February 17, 2011.
A location for your project will be pre-assigned and identified by an assignment form. Do not move it.
Participating students only will be permitted in the project display area during judging (6:00 - 9:00 pm).
Projects will have multiple judges. The number of judges will be shown on the assignment form.
Stay with your project until each judge has interviewed you and has signed the assignment form.
Additional judging for special awards may be required.
Some DO "NOT'S"
No dangerous chemicals, open flames or explosives.
No live vertebrates or poisonous animals.
No dry ice or liquid nitrogen without prior fair approval
No chemical reactions, projectiles or other activity that extends beyond individual exhibition space.
Some Advice
Your project is to be done by YOU! It is appropriate however, that you have help and guidance. This should be acknowledged.
Be prepared to present your project orally. You will have 3-5 minutes to present to the judge, so practice so that you can make your key points in that time frame. Be relaxed, judges are interested in you and your project. Have fun!
